For the past several months we have been working with Maggie to teach her to drive. We finally completely hitched her up to the cart, and she did very well! We will have to change out the shafts for her size (they are currently set for our 1600 pound Friesian, so they're a bit big for little Maggie), but she did very well. Movie Night!
Our first official movie night was a success! We had a small group this first time out, and we had a few technical issues, but we had a great time and watched The Man from Snowy River. Dulcinea Goes to Her New Home!
We took Dulcinea to her new home on Sunday! She got right into the trailer and was very calm during the entire ride. The vet is coming out this week and she will get her teeth floated as well. We picked up Dallas on Saturday afternoon- we are calling her Dulcinea while she is at Hanaeleh as everyone thinks that Dallas is a boy's name. Plus, Arabians believe that they are royalty, so we thought we would give her a princess' name (from Man of La Mancha). She is a very good girl- leads very nicely and hopped right into the trailer!
