Two horses need homes by the end of August. They were originally owned by a woman but she passed away and the ownership went to her brother. Happy Birthday Cricket! (and Quixote!)
Last year today, we picked up Cricket and Quixote from a nearby stable who was going to send the horses to auction to pay for the unpaid board fees. They were both emaciated, had little muscle tone, and were so bonded that it was dangerous to pull either one out of the stall because they would both freak out. I took Tamahome out for a trail ride this afternoon and decided to pony Gypsy along. I did not realize that bringing her along would make things much more complicated.
