It is with great sadness to report that we had to say goodbye to our Lexie this morning. Lexie's knee had been getting progressively worse over the past few months and it was becoming more and more difficult to manage her pain. We've been discussing Lexie's prognosis with our vet for several months and we eventually came to the conclusion that we were soon not going to be able to effectively manage her pain. We Have a New Horse at Hanaeleh, Here’s Ruby!
Hanaeleh received word earlier this week that HiCalibur Horse Rescue needed to place several horses who were in desperate need. The elderly owner of the horses had not been caring for them. The situation became more dire when it was discovered that the owner was being evicted from her home and the horses had nowhere to go.
