UPDATE February 12, 2022: Two of Hanaeleh’s board members are fostering the kitties and making sure that they are getting the veterinary care they need. A few of Laura’s friends and families have donated to help support these kitties, and we would like to thank them for their generosity! The kitties are safe and doing well!
One of our wild horse advocates, Laura Ferejohn, sadly passed away suddenly last week. She worked tirelessly to stop the roundups and to educate people about wild horse issues. She had two cats who were dear to her and it was her dying wish that they be found new, loving homes. Ideally they could go together, but they don’t have to.
If you have room in your house and your heart to take them in, please email kathi@hanaeleh.org.
Kitty #1: Tyson
He is black and he is 20 years old! He looks amazing for 20. He is very sweet, but obviously he needs someplace relatively quiet as he is an older guy. His biggest issue is that he currently is using pee pads instead of the litter box. He may have used a litter box in his past and we don’t know why he’s using them now, so a room with tile would be best. He sleeps all day and would be no trouble otherwise.
Kitty #2: Jake
He is a lovely orange tabby and is only five years old. He is also sweet and loves people.
Right now these cats are being cared for by the neighbor. The family is a few hours away and cannot care for them, and they are unable to take them, so that is why we are trying to help. For more information or if you are able to take either of these two kitties, please e-mail: kathi@hanaeleh.org.
