12/8/23- UPDATE- We have received word that Jack is going to a new home in Texas, with a woman who works with an equine medical clinic, so Jack will get all of the medical attention he needs to manage his navicular symptoms! Thank you to everyone who helped to network this beautiful boy!
Jack is a very well-bred Palomino gelding who needs a home. He has excellent training and ground manners. He developed navicular and the previous owners dumped him at an auction, where the current owner purchased him, not knowing of his condition.
His owner stated that she has tried different types of shoes, but he still seems uncomfortable being ridden. She has not yet tried him on a daily Equioxx pill.
We are looking for someone who really just wants a safe, beautiful boy and who is not interested in flipping him. He may be rideable with pain meds, but right now he cannot be ridden. We’re uncertain if he will ever be comfortable under saddle, so Jack’s ideal adopter will be someone who is OK with a non-rideable horse.
Jack is great with kids, dogs, and other horses.
