A family contacted us saying their son has recently developed medical issues and they need to focus on him and unfortunately cannot keep their horses. Domino is a 25 year-old pony that they have had for 11 years. Domino has been ridden on trail, in the park and in the arena, but recently came up with a slight case of laminitis due to eating alfalfa.
Dr. Secor took x-rays of both his front feet/legs, the bones have only rotated 3-5 degrees which he said is very minimal, but Domino seems to have a low tolerance to pain so he’s currently on a little bute daily and also wears Soft Ride Boots. Dr. Secor said he just needs time.
The family has already found a home for their other horse, so Domino is now lonely and depressed. The family would love to find someone who can help Domino recover from his laminitis and be a good riding pony again.

Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.
