Wedgewood (Wedgie) is an 18 year-old grey Hanovarian gelding, just over 16.3 hands. Wedgie was trained as a hunter, but also has a strong dressage base. He had a collateral ligament strain interior front left and a bone cyst in the pastern joint on the same side 2 1/2 years ago and was laid up/retired 1 1/2 years ago. He was almost starved to death at the retirement place, so once his owner realized what was happening, he made sure to take him back and rehabilitate him. This was about seven months ago. Wedgie has gained his weight back and is back doing some light riding. He is on Equioxx which helps him feel more comfortable when being ridden.
Wedgie is very sweet and his owner says he is like a giant dog. Wedgie is currently at Serrano Creek Ranch in Lake Forest. His owner wants to find someone who is looking for a very well-trained horse for pleasure riding. Wedgie is not in danger, but he does need a new home.
