We have just received word that Tango has found a wonderful home as a lesson horse at the Norco Equestrian Academy. Many thanks to all of those people who helped to share Tango’s post to help find him a home! Here are some words from his previous owner:
He arrived there today and gave his first lesson to a timid student and he was the best sweetie pie in the world!!! And she ended up really feeling confident etc. And to make it even better, they are so nice out there, only 35 min away, and they said that my daughter could come out any time she wanted to and see him and hop up on him and ride him as well!!! Her tears turned to happiness!!! She is in college and working so can’t see him a lot, but this way he gets exercise, feels proud of himself for being the amazing lesson horse he is, and she gets to see and ride him still when she can come out. I couldn’t think of a better location for him. He loves to teach young riders how it’s done and he is such a patient teacher!!
I just know in my heart that your post and all the heartfelt love from your followers , wishing for him to find a forever home where he could still be of a lot of use, made the difference. I wish they could somehow know that.
Thank you for your help in this. The young girls huuuuuge smile and pride in herself at the end of her lesson on him was well worth everything.
Many thanks again to everyone who helped Tango find a great new home!

Tango is a bay 26 year-old, 17-hand Thoroughbred gelding who is looking for a new home. He was a 3-day eventer for 15 years before being retired from competition. For the past five years he has been used as a trail horse and some light pleasure riding/jumping. He needs an intermediate rider, but is gentle with less-experienced riders.
Tango is good on the ground and can be handled on the ground by a beginner. He is good when being groomed and getting his feet done. Tango is a little thin because he was in a paddock with another horse and was pushed off of his feed. He is currently in a stall and is gaining his weight back. His teeth were recently floated.
