Hanaeleh was contacted about a 20 year-old Paint mare who needs a home. Bella is stabled in Orange Park Acres, a horse community in South Orange County.
Bella was given to her current owner by his uncle, and had been riding her until about six months ago when she came up with a slight lameness on her front. He says that he cannot afford to have a vet evaluate her, and has told the owner of the facility that now he can no longer pay for her. Donna, the owner of the facility where Bella is staying has been caring for Bella for the past few months, but she has several rescue horses of her own, and cannot afford to keep another horse.
Unfortunately Hanaeleh does not have any room for another horse, and Bella’s future is uncertain. Bella looks SO SWEET and we really would like to find her a lovely new home. It is likely she will go to auction and potentially slaughter if we cannot find a home for her. Donna is not sure if Bella’s lameness just stems from arthritis, or if it is something else. Otherwise, Bella is an easy-keeper and does not have any bad stall habits.
