We were recently contacted by a woman who is looking to find homes for two Quarter horses. She and her friend are getting older and it is becoming more difficult to give their horses the care that they deserve. They would like to find them both wonderful homes. They do not have to go together.
Marilyn Monroe:
Marilyn is a 25 year-old mare who is a minimally white Paint with one blue eye. She was trained and shown in reining lightly, and was originally owned by the actor, Robert Wagner. She has shoes on her front feet and is sound. She would be a good intermediate horse (she will take advantage of beginner riders by being stubborn). She is not mean, doesn’t rear, buck, is not spooky, and is a very good trail horse. She is healthy has been with her current owner for the past 20 years. Marilyn is currently turned out daily and is fed alfalfa along with a little senior feed at night.
Buddy:
Buddy is a 26 year-old chestnut Quarter horse gelding. His owner is 78 and is having difficulties caring for him. Buddy would also require an intermediate rider; he is a good trail horse, but can be a little spooky, although he does not rear or buck. He is barefoot and sound. Buddy is also turned out daily and fed alfalfa with a little senior feed at night.
Marilyn and Buddy are not at Hanaeleh, but the owners would like Marilyn and Buddy to go to a good home. When you call, please be prepared to provide references. For more information on either Marilyn or Buddy, please contact: (818) 207-3468.
