UPDATE August 1, 2024: The owner contacted us and let us know that Willy has found a new home! Thank you to everyone who helped to share his post!
We were contacted by a woman who is unable to keep her 17 y/o Thoroughbred gelding. He was raced until he was nine years old, and then retired. Since then he has been trained as a pleasure horse, and the owner thinks that he would be good for an intermediate or advanced rider and handler.
Willy’s registered name is Pride of Wilshire, and his owner says that he is an “absolute lover.” She says that he is very smart, and says that her current trainer loves riding him and that he catches onto things very quickly.
Willy has front shoes, and his owner says that he is good with kids, dogs and other horses. She says that he has no medical issues.
