The woman who owns Alli has told us that her mare has found a wonderful new home in Yucca Valley. Thank you to everyone who networked this lovely girl! (original blog post below)

We were contacted by a woman who is looking for a home for her 14 year-old Thoroughbred mare named Alli. Alli is approximately 15.2 hands. She was never on the track.
Alli has been ridden for polo and she loads, ties, gets along well with other horses, has traveled all over the country, and is very smooth and comfortable to ride. She is a friendly and affectionate mare, but would need an intermediate or experienced rider. Unfortunately, Alli has developed navicular that is manageable with proper shoeing, but she can no longer handle the strenuous needs of a polo horse. Alli’s owner has been been working on teaching Alli non-polo skills such as trail riding to transition Alli to her next career.
Alli’s owner wants her to go to a good home away from polo. Since she stopped playing and focused just on arena and trail riding, Alli has been completely sound.
