Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.
We were contacted today by a woman who is trying to save a young five year-old gelding Quarter horse at her stable. The owner no longer wants the horse and is planning on sending the horse to a disreputable individual, where he will be either sold directly to a kill buyer or sent to auction and then most likely to slaughter. The contact info is for the woman who is trying to save the horse. The owner will release ownership to anyone who wants this sweet boy.
Please see below for a description of the horse.
*******************************************
He is around 5 years old and is a buckskin Quarter horse.
He is so easy going… he just wants attention and loves to be groomed.
He was sold to her proud cut so he had to be gelded.
After he was gelded he developed a limp.. chiropractors and vets were stumped.
Finally vet tested for EPM which he had and they cured. His blood work is now 100% clean.
He still has a limp in the hind right.. looks like it is up in the stifle area or higher.. he seems so happy and not in pain and the limp seems to be less noticeable when he is constantly moving. He is very low maintenance- just on cubes and I think he would be a great pasture buddy.
Please please help. She was going to take him yesterday and I begged her to give me until Wednesday.
