San Juan Capistrano, CA: 15 y/o Thoroughbred Gelding Needs Home

March 25, 2016 By ezarkos

UPDATE: We have since learned that Tuff has found a new home. Thank you everyone who helped network him!

Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.

We are helping to network this very cute Thoroughbred named Tuff Courage for his owner. “Tuff” is a registered 15 year-old bay gelding who has been ridden in the flat in the arena and on trail. He was working with a trainer a few months ago, but the owner no longer has the funds to continue to keep Tuff or pay the boarding fee and is now looking for a good home for him.

The owner says that Tuff would be good for an intermediate rider. He currently has shoes with pads, but the owner only put the pads on to help prevent thrush, so he does not need them for any medical issue. He has been ridden English.

The horse is currently stabled at Sycamore in San Juan Capistrano, CA (in south Orange County).

For more information on this horse, please contact the owner directly:

Glenda Gets a Brand-New Coop (Thanks to Our Amazing Volunteers!)

August 28, 2025 By ezarkos

Glenda is one of the chickens at our ranch, and she had previously been living in a coop we built when we moved onto the property. The coop was sturdy enough to keep larger predators out, but unfortunately mice and rats were able to find their way inside. We did what we could to try to strengthen … [Read More...]
