Hanaeleh helps to network horses who need homes, free of charge. These horses are offered free to a good home, but an adoption agreement and contract are often suggested. Hanaeleh is not responsible for any of the information provided and does not know anything beyond what is listed in the post- please contact the owner directly.
Jack he is a 15.1 hand, 16yr old sorrel registered Quarter horse gelding. He is currently in Concord, CA. Jack has been trained and been successful in reining, cattle work, gymkhanas and is a good trail horse.
His owner is going to college and will no longer be able to keep him, and has been trying to find him a good home for several months. She is having difficulty rehoming him because Jack is blind in his left eye and partially blind in his right eye due to uveitis. At this point it is not reversible. Although he is mostly blind, Jack is still a good and well mannered horse, he loves to be around people and is an “in your pocket” type of horse. He loves to be petted and interact with people. We would like to note that you can still ride a blind or partially blind horse, and there are so many great websites and training tips for working with blind horses!
Jack is up-to-date on all of his shots. He is currently barefoot and has good feet.
Jack is NOT at Hanaeleh. If you have any questions or would like to see Jack, please contact his owner directly: Shaelyn Grady- shaelyngrady@gmail.com .
