Although we ask that all of our new horse owners give us annual updates on the horses we adopt out to them, we often like to go down to see the horses when it's convenient. Savannah, Tamahome and Girl Scouts
Hanaeleh was invited to present at a local Girl Scout Jamboree in Irvine this month. The girls learned about feed, tack, parts of the horse and horse behavior. We also taught them how to approach a horse and the girls were able to pet them as well. Our two ambassadors were Savannah and Tamahome, who enjoyed their time with the girls, getting treats and attention (they also enjoyed eating the grass!). Trabuco Canyon, CA: Savannah- 20 y/o Paint Mare for Adoption
Savannah is a 15.2 hand Paint Quarter horse mare. She was originally a broodmare but in 2012 had been found starving with her foal at her side. Her foal found a home and Hanaeleh rehabilitated Savannah and she was adopted out in 2013. Last month, her owner contacted Hanaeleh and said he could no longer keep her due to his medical issues, so she came back to Hanaeleh, and is once again looking for her forever home!
