Stella came to live at Hanaeleh a few years ago when her owner, Alberta, needed some extra help.  Alberta is one of our neighbors and has been very helpful through the years, so when she said she needed some help, we were happy to provide a temporary place for Stella!  Stella was originally slated to return home in November, when she put her foot through the bars and got it stuck, and in the ensuing craziness of trying to get her out, Alberta fractured her arm. Gypsy Goes for a Ride

One of Gypsy's favorite things to do is bully volunteers into giving her carrots and apples (and cookies and donuts and whatever else they may have).  When she's not strong-arming our devoted people, I do take her out on trail to keep the local wildlife in line! This Weekend

We had a busy time out at the ranch this weekend- the horses all received their strangles vaccinations (we try not to give all of the vaccinations at once) so they are set until next year!  The horses kept sneezing and trying to wipe their noses on us so the vet, Sally W. and Elizabeth all received the strangles innoculation by proxy.
