New Horse at Hanaeleh: Jack

This morning in the rain we drove up to Cerritos to pick up a horse.  His owner unfortunately was no longer able to care for him due to medical and financial issues, and the family had no choice but to find Jack a new home. They were all very distraught to say goodbye to Jack, but we promised him that we would keep him safe and find him a new, loving family. Jack is an 18 year-old American Creme Draft gelding. We Have a New Horse at Hanaeleh, Here’s Ruby!

Hanaeleh received word earlier this week that HiCalibur Horse Rescue needed to place several horses who were in desperate need. The elderly owner of the horses had not been caring for them. The situation became more dire when it was discovered that the owner was being evicted from her home and the horses had nowhere to go. Orange County, CA: 25 y/o Pony Needs Home

A family contacted us saying their son has recently developed medical issues and they need to focus on him and unfortunately cannot keep their horses. Domino is a 25 year-old pony that they have had for 11 years.  Domino has been ridden on trail, in the park and in the arena, but recently came up with a slight case of laminitis due to eating alfalfa.
