Holy Jim Fire
This afternoon I had an appointment with the vet to see our newest horse. It was about 100 degrees by the time she left, and I was looking forward to a cold shower and maybe- possibly- even a nap. Then I got a text that there was a fire. And I looked up. And there was a fire. It was a large fire. And it was just over the ridge. UPDATE: Austin Has Been Adopted!
We are so happy to announce that Austin was adopted yesterday! We took Austin in last year because he had been abandoned by his owner and suffered a great deal of neglect. He was underweight, had little muscle tone, and had fungus all across his coat and legs. He had been standing in muck for so long that his feet were diseased and infected. Aggie Gets a New Home!
Hanaeleh receives calls every week about a horse who is in need of a home. Although we cannot take in every horse, we do try to network horses as often as possible. We believe that this is a great option for the owners and the horses, as it allows the owners to converse directly, and it is less stressful for the horse, as the horse is not constantly being moved from one stable to another.
