Stetson’s Stall: The Wind vs. Tree vs. Shelter

Yesterday was an exciting day! We thought we had prepared for the wind- all of the tables were turned over, the chairs were stacked, the trash cans were put away. UPDATE: Haven and Cullen in the Arena

Today we turned Haven and Cullen out in the turnout area above their stall for the first time. The had their feet trimmed on Friday, but the horses were in such pain when we first brought them in that we wanted to take it easy and not push them. Well, they seemed pretty happy to finally get out! Haven trotted around a little and Cullen walked quite a bit. We received word that there are two horses at the Baldwin Park animal shelter in Los Angeles who need homes. One is a gelding named Tonka, around 18 years, the other is an older mare, about 25 years old. The mare is visually impaired so she will definitely need someone to rescue her.
