The end of February marks three years since Lou Dillon was rescued from the streets of Watts. He was scared and emaciated, and was running around the busy streets during a horrible rainstorm until a kind homeowner finally caught him and called the police. UPDATE 2022: Quixote
It seems like just a few months ago that we rescued Quixote, but in reality it will be nine years ago in August, and Quixote will be 23 years old this year! He is showing his age a little- we have him on Legend and Adequan to help keep him feeling spry; his left stifle has a tendency to lock up, and he has some arthritis in his hocks, but he still loves to run and buck and jump straight up into the air when he's playing in the arena! Help Get Marty to Hanaeleh!
Last week we posted about Marty, a 25 y/o Quarter horse gelding who was dumped in an almond grove (you can see his post here). He was starving, and ate almonds to stay alive before a kind woman saw him and rescued him. She has been trying to find someone who will take him, but it is obvious he needs a lot of veterinary care to get healthy, and no one wants to take on that responsibility.
