A few weeks ago Gabriel was returned to Hanaeleh. We always take our horses back after being adopted, no matter the reason. Unfortunately, we were completely full and we didn’t have any stalls available, so we made a makeshift stall for him, hoping that eventually he would be able to live in the paddock with Hope. Action Alert: Lack of Orange County Equine Evacuation Plan Puts Horses In Jeopardy

Fire season will soon be upon us, and with that will be the potential need to evacuate our horses. Unfortunately, the current Large Animal Response Team (LART), which is based in San Juan Capistrano, has stated that they no longer are able to facilitate any future evacuations anywhere else in OC.
