We were contacted by a woman who is looking to rehome her 12 year-old Arabian mare. Mera is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations and teeth. She has been used as a trail horse for the past two years, riding in the mountains. Her owner no longer has time to ride her due to health issues, and Mera needs to get out everyday. Hershey is a bay 25 year-old Appendix (Quarter horse/Thoroughbred cross) who we rescued over a decade ago. He had been a show jumper, but his owner was unable to keep him due to financial issues. We found a wonderful woman named Sara who adopted him and they seemed to be a match made in heaven! Hanaeleh got a call a few weeks ago about a horse named Popcorn who needed some care. His owner did not have the time to come down and care for Popcorn on a daily basis, so a few people at the stable where he was boarded had been feeding and caring for him for the past few months.
