Wedgewood (Wedgie) is an 18 year-old grey Hanovarian gelding, just over 16.3 hands. Wedgie was trained as a hunter, but also has a strong dressage base. He had a collateral ligament strain interior front left and a bone cyst in the pastern joint on the same side 2 1/2 years ago and was laid up/retired 1 1/2 years ago. Recently I read that the FDA has a number of rat feces and spiders that it deems is acceptable to be in my food. Transport Needed: Two Horses from Ridgecrest, CA to Winchester, CA
We received a plea for help for two horses (mare and a gelding) who were abandoned at a boarding facility. STAT Rescue offered to take the horses, but they need transport from Ridgecrest, CA (Kern County) to Winchester, CA (Riverside County). The only quote they have to transport is $900, which STAT rescue does not have. They are looking for any angels who might be able to transport and charge less, or even offer to transport for free. Action Alert- CA Residents, Please Call to Pass AB 1788
Dear Hanaeleh Family: I am asking all of our supporters in California to contact their assembly member this week to help pass AB 1788. This is not necessarily horse-related, but it is a very important bill to me. AB 1788 would ban second generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) throughout the state, except for agricultural use or by special permit.
