This past Monday Elizabeth travelled up to Sylmar to see both Cindy Lou and Noelle, our latest rescues, at their foster home. UPDATE: Cindy Lou
Cindy Lou has settled into her foster home and is doing well. She had her feet trimmed the first week she was rescued, and that helped her A LOT- she started moving much more comfortably and seemed more visibly relaxed. The farrier said that all of her feet were trimmed poorly and were all uneven, with large amounts of sole on all four feet, which indicates previous poor trims by a farrier. Introducing Noelle: Rescued Christmas Horse!
Noelle She was tired and cold and everything hurt. The man came into the paddock and tried to grab her, but she ran away; everytime a man grabbed her he hurt her. The man just yelled at her and threw her and the other horse in the paddock a thin flake of old alfalfa. She didn't care how thin it was; she was so hungry she would eat anything.
