RIP Dave Seroski

Today we said goodbye to Dave Seroski, a friend and supporter of Hanaeleh. Dave passed away suddenly in his sleep last week. Dave was often at Hanaeleh, making any number of things for the horses: flashing reflectors, hay bags, customized rope halters for all of our new horses, a roof for the ATV, arm guards- whatever we needed, Dave would find a way to make it. Garnet’s Surgery: Days Five through Ten

Day Five: When we last saw Garnet, she had a metal tracheotomy plate in order to help her breathe as the area around her larynx was very swollen from the surgery. When we spoke with the vet on Monday 9/27, he said that they tried to take the plate out, but her breathing was still too labored, so they put it back in, and expected to take it out on Wednesday or Thursday.
