We were contacted by a woman in San Diego county who helped someone rescue a Hackney pony when his owners moved to Arizona and could not take him. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to care for him, either, and would like to find him a new home. She is uncertain how old he is, but assumes he is in his mid-20s. Three weeks ago we received a frantic call from Javier, our caretaker, who feeds the horses in the mornings. He said that Ulysses was lying down and was having difficulty getting up.
