We were contacted by a woman who has a bay 19 year-old Thoroughbred mare that was abandoned on her property after the owner passed away. The horse's name is Stacey, and she is rideable, although it has been several months since she was ridden, so her topline and muscle tone are not as developed. She will need an intermediate rider. Lou Dillon was awarded an honorary Mounted Unit Police Badge from the LAPD Mounted Unit on Saturday, April 30th, in a ceremony that included the Chief of Police, the officers who helped to rescue him from the streets of Watts as well as members from the LAPD's Mounted Unit.
