Raven Goes to School

We are excited to share that Raven took a field trip last week to visit Canyon High School! Hanaeleh's president, Elizabeth Zarkos, is an English teacher at Canyon, and she wanted to find a way to help introduce horses to the students. A few years ago, Hanaeleh had a grant that allowed us to bring some horses to Canyon to do Socio-Emotional Learning with the students, but that money ran out. Hanaeleh Work Day 3-19-23

We had several people come out to our work day on Sunday, and with their help we were able to get a LOT done! First, we put in two yards of gravel and sand underneath Quixote and Lou Dillon's stalls to help level them out and raise them a little. There is an underground spring that will sometimes bubble up after the rain, and while they are on stall mats with shavings, the stalls have gotten a little cattywampus, and our hope too was that we could raise the stalls just above the water table … [Read more...]

We were told by the owner that Bandero is SAFE and has a new, loving home! Thank you to everyone who helped to network him! Hanaeleh was contacted by a woman who is looking for help in rehoming their family's horse. Unfortunately they are no longer in a position to care for Bandero, so they are looking to find him a good home. Bandero is around 12-13 years old. UPDATE SAFE: We were contacted by the owner who said he was able to place Savannah in a new home. Thank you to everyone who helped to network her! We were contacted by a man in Los Angeles, CA, who has a 14 year-old Thoroughbred mare named Savannah. Savannah is about 16 hands, and is a dark bay with NO white anywhere!
