Born May 20, 1984 Rescued July 1, 2007 Adopted July 7, 2007 Passed March 13, 2009 Heart of Battle was one of four horses that Hanaeleh took in when they were told of a woman who had passed away suddenly when her tractor flipped backwards onto her.  When Hanaeleh first saw Heart, she had an abscess that hadn’t been cared for, and was very depressed. Sugarbear

Rescued February 22, 2006 Passed July 25, 2009 Sugarbear was trained as a hunter/ jumper, and at 13  was retired to a pasture where she was neglected and starved. Finally, she was forced to break her own tail off when she got it caught in a fence.  She was rescued from that situation, then sold, and her new owner eventually donated Sugarbear to Hanaeleh. Born April 22, 1981 Rescued November 27, 1999 Passed June 22, 2009 Guiniviere was a registered Polish Arabian who was a broodmare until her owner passed. She was given to a girl who then gave her to Elizabeth, who named her Gueniviere because of her very authoritative attitude.  Gwen was quite crazy at first and broke numerous halters and lead ropes when she refused to be tied.
