Over the past few months, six slaughter plants have requested authorization to start slaughtering horses in the U.S. Governor Fallin in Oklahoma, only last week signed a bill that would allow slaughterhouses in Oklahoma to open, even though the majority of her constituents are against horse slaughter. Maggie
Maggie is a 24 year-old Arabian who came to Hanaeleh from the Riverside Animal Shelter. It took us a few months to put weight on her, but now she is very fat and happy! Maggie was so emaciated when she came to us that she didn't shed out her winter coat from the previous year because her body did not have enough nutrients to grow another one.
