Misters at Hanaeleh
It has been such a horribly hot, humid summer this year, and we have been trying to determine the best way we can keep the horses cool. All of the horses have shelters, and we will rinse them on very hot days (which lately seems to be everyday). For the past two years, we have been searching for someone who would come out to the ranch and install misters, but it has never worked out. What’s Rylee Been Up To? [6 mos after her rescue]
Rylee is an 18 year-old Peruvian Paso mare we rescued at the beginning of this year. Her previous owner had been in a bad car accident and Rylee needed a soft place to land ASAP. Rylee began settling in quickly. She wasn't underweight like many of our rescues, but she always seemed hungry, so we put her on a diet that included a lot of forage so she could eat more.
