Update: We have a home for Lexie, the Quarter horse we rescued in December. She is going to a wonderful family in Bakersfield and will help their 11 year-old son learn how to ride.  She will have other horses to wander around with on their 40-acre property. Trabuco Canyon, CA: Delilah- 9 y/o Thoroughbred mare needs home

We rescued Delilah when her owner abandoned her at a neighboring facility. She had a nail stuck in her foot from a shoe that had twisted, and had been left in a stall for months. It took several months for us to put weight back on her, and then also to get Delilah pain-free.  She is now able to be ridden, and is a very sweet girl. Auction Horses Rescue was able to save two Off The Track Standardbreds from auction last Saturday night (1/18/14).
