We were not anticipating taking in another horse; in fact, Elizabeth was just getting on her horse to go out on a trail ride when she received a call that there was a group of teenagers wandering about the canyon with a crazy two year-old stallion, who was rearing and out of control. Orange, CA: Female Goat Needs Home

We received word that there is female goat at the OC Animal Care Shelter off of The City Drive in Orange, CA. The goat is female, about a year old, and is white with some brown on her. Underdog Rescue pulls dogs and cats from that shelter and is willing to help pull this girl and even front her adoption fee. UPDATE: Stella (and Gypsy!)

Stella came to live at Hanaeleh a few years ago when her owner, Alberta, needed some extra help.  Alberta is one of our neighbors and has been very helpful through the years, so when she said she needed some help, we were happy to provide a temporary place for Stella!  Stella was originally slated to return home in November, when she put her foot through the bars and got it stuck, and in the ensuing craziness of trying to get her out, Alberta fractured her arm.
