We were contacted by a woman who owns a 9 year-old bay Thoroughbred mare named Dixie Run. Dixie reared while being ridden, and flipped over, shattering the owner's pelvis. She has a long road to recovery, and is unable to continue to care for Dixie. She is looking to find Dixie a new home, preferably as a companion. Dixie is currently in Norco, CA. We were contacted by a woman who is trying to find a home for her 25 year-old mare. They are unable to keep her anymore and we desperately want to find a home for Jolene. Jolene is barefoot and she's currently eating alfalfa/orchard. She has some arthritis in her hips and the vet recommended that she not be ridden.
