What can we say about our good-natured Tamahome, except to say that he is still awesome? OK, well, then- Tamahome is still awesome! He is currently living in a paddock with Sapphire and Ruby, and seems content with his small harem. He also gets to boss around the sheep and ignore the rooster, so he’s a pretty busy boy.
Elizabeth still takes Tamahome out on trail, although sometimes his previous abuse will spark a PTSD episode for no reason, and he will get very nervous. He seems to be much more comfortable when he’s not alone, so she often will pony Gypsy next to him. Gypsy is a very steadying force, and tells Tamahome when he’s being ridiculous.
Earlier this year, Elizabeth trailered Tamahome down to San Diego to learn horse archery. He took to it very quickly, and she soon set up a target in the Hanaeleh arena. They can sometimes be found running around the arena, shooting arrows at straw bales with black hats (that’s how you know they’re the bad guys).
Tamahome’s favorite days are the open house days, because people bring him carrots and apples, and he likes to perform his tricks for them so he will get more food. It works, so we really can’t blame him for continuing to ham it up for the crowd.
