We had a wonderful group of people out this last Saturday for our workday! We got a ton accomplished, including about 30 yards of mulch spread to help reduce erosion and dust. The volunteers also cleaned all of the horses’ feed dishes, cleared out the garden, cleaned out the hay shed, took down a stall, and even planted a tree! They were a very busy group of people! At the end of the workday, the volunteers took a tour of the facility.
We also had a group of Girl Scouts come out and donate a number of items, including feed buckets, clippers, grooming items as well as money to help pay for hay and grain! They had their own special tour of the facility and we told them about each horse’s story.
We are so thankful for all of those people who came out and donated their time to help do some of the more laborious tasks out at the ranch. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, and we definitely cannot do any of this without such generous people to help us, both by volunteering with us, and by donating to the rescue. Thank you!
