OMG we have a pony! Zebedee is a little grey 8 year-old Welsh cross pony and he is absolutely adorable. He is staying with us due to overflow from the Sylmar fires, but he is also up for adoption!
Zebedee was rescued two years ago from an auction. He had been used by charros for roping/tripping practice, and when his owner took him he had scars on his legs from the ropes. Zebedee still has a fear of ropes that are tossed over his head or neck. His owner spent the past two years trying to get him to trust people, and he is much more trusting. He can wear a halter and saddle, and does ground drive and longe. His owner, however, thinks he would be better off as a companion pony or a pack pony. He is very sweet, but very hesitant and a bit fearful of new people- I think a few weeks at Hanaeleh with all of our volunteers will help him overcome that a bit. 🙂
If you are looking for a cuter-than-cute pony as a companion for a gelding (he’s a bit bossy with mares) or as a buddy to walk with you on trails, either by your side or ponied off of a horse. Click here for more info!
More pictures of Zebedee to come! Stay tuned!
