We know everyone is interested in how Abe the mini-Mule is doing. He is fitting in very well at his foster home!
He is staying at our former board member’s house right now, where his best little girlfriend (who was rescued with him) lives. We went over to see him while the farrier was out to trim his feet. Abe was a little hesitant at first, but he did so well and stood quietly for the farrier. We trimmed him in his stall, and even with the winds he was a very good boy!
Abe is getting a lot of attention from a lot of different people in his foster home- they run an equine-assisted coaching program there, so Abe gets to meet new people all of the time and learn that people like to give treats! He’s gotten much better at taking treats from people, and is getting braver everyday.
We are so happy that Abe continues to grow, and while he is definitely a stubborn boy, he is very sweet.
