Hanaeleh was contacted by a woman who is looking for homes for her two Thoroughbred mares. These horses are NOT at Hanaeleh. If you are interested in Gina and Madonna, please contact the owner directly: Cecilia (949) 609-0925.
They don’t necessarily have to go together, but it would be nice if they could. Both mares were ridden as polo ponies, but for the past five years have been pastured out in Silverado Canyon in Orange County. The horses are still healthy and sound, but are not up-to-date on any vaccinations, floating or farrier care (they have been self-trimming by wandering around several acres for the past few years).
The owner has had the horses for the past 20 years. Both horses are 25 years old, and, again, healthy. The owner is moving and cannot take the horses with her.
Gina is the darker horse of the two.
Madonna is a little lighter bay.
The owner estimates that both of the horses are around 15 hands. They need an intermediate rider. They were ridden English for polo, and western for trail. The owner has said that they both have very smooth gaits.
The owner says that the horses are both easy keepers, and they trailer and tie well. They get alfalfa hay twice a day, but don’t get any other supplements or grain.
